Army Commander’s Cup

The Army Commander’s Cup Program is established to stimulate sports competition and increase participation in the intramural sports program by providing a means of recognizing the unit that accumulates the highest number of points from consistent involvement, participation and team winning success. Participating garrisons in the program will be scored using the Army Community Recreation Reporting Online (ACRRO) participation numbers from the top 5 sports consisting of, Softball, Flag Football, Volleyball, Basketball, and Soccer. For participation numbers to count towards Army Commander’s Cup, selected sports must be entered under Activity Type- Commander's Cup. Tournaments will take place at Garrison(s) (location TBD) and feature the top 2 sports competing in a Double Round Robin format. The top two teams will then face off in a Championship Game.

Army Commander’s Cup Key Steps:

STEP 1: Garrison classifications (small, medium, large) will be determined using the ASIP Data.

STEP 2: Garrison SFA teams will provide the top 5 finishers from each sport in the Commander's Cup, along with the number of participating teams.

STEP 3: Garrison participation will be scored in 5-point increments and combined with ACRRO Participation Data to determine the overall winners.

STEP 4: IMCOM SFA will use data from the Army Commander's Cup Tracker to determine the top 3 teams who will advance to the in-person tournament.

Army Commander’s Cup Sports Procedures
  • To ensure accurate record-keeping, participation metrics for all five sports should be entered into ACRRO. Specifically, these metrics should be categorized under the activity type “Commander’s Cup” for all Garrison Commander’s Cup events.
  • The total participation numbers from the top 5 team sports will be factored in to determine the winning garrisons.
  • In the scoring system, each sport will be ranked from 1st to 5th place based on performance and participation.
