Can you ride 1,000km (621 miles) in just four months?

Challenge yourself, embrace the adventure, and push your limits with the Ultimate Outdoor Rec Cycling Challenge! Whether you’re an experienced cyclist, a family seeking a fun activity, or someone looking to kickstart a fitness journey, this event is for you.
 

Experience the thrill of the open road and scenic trails as you log your miles and work toward an exciting reward - an interlocking challenge coin that marks your achievement. Stay active, have fun, and ride your way to victory!

 


 

Registration:

Opens in April 1st -  Visit your local Outdoor Recreation Facility for registration details.

Each participant will receive a commemorative jersey upon registration. (One jersey per individual or family registration; additional jerseys available for purchase.)

 

Entry Fee:

$50 per individual

$50 per family

 

Who Can Participate?

This challenge is open to all authorized MWR patrons of all ages. Families are encouraged to ride together and combine their miles toward the collective goal.

 

Track Your Progress

Challenge Dates: May 1 through  August 31, 2025

Each participant is responsible for tracking and recording their own progress. Electronic tracking devices are highly recommended.

 

Suggested tracking apps:

  • Map My Ride
  • Komoot
  • Cyclemeter GPS

 

Families riding together can combine their total kilometers toward the overall goal.

 

Earn Your Challenge Coin!

Achieve your distance goal and earn a unique interlocking challenge coin:

  • 500km Coin
  • 1,000km Coin (Coins lock together for a complete set!)

(One coin per individual or family registration.)
