BRAVO! Army Theatre Touring Company is on tour with “Pvt. Wars” by James McLure, a play concerning three Soldiers recovering from Vietnam War injuries in an Army hospital.
BRAVO! is an all-Soldier touring theatrical company that performs on military installations throughout the world, delivering theatrical arts to Soldiers, family members and civilians.
The current cast includes Sgt. Michael Malizia of Bamberg, Germany; Sgt. 1st Class Robert Isom of Fort Jackson, S.C.; and Sgt. Eric Bragg of Fort Detrick, Md.
For the past several years, BRAVO! Army Theatre Touring Company’s mission has been to improve the morale of soldiers, DoD civilians and their families through worldwide deployments of world-class theatrical productions.
Soldiers are selected from field of candidates and invited to Fort Belvoir to audition. Once selected, the cast and crew start rehearsals and learned how to construct the set they would have to rebuild at every venue. After opening the show at Fort Belvoir, the soldiers travel by land, air, and sea with all their equipment performing for thousands of soldiers, marines, airmen and their families.
